The Fiery Furnace Hike has been a source of intrigue for hikers for many years. There is a lot written about it because it’s not your typical hike. It is a maze which isn’t always easy to explore. In the past, hikers could hire a private guide to hike the Fiery Furnace and the guides made the experience enjoyable by keeping their guests safely on path and taking their guests to all the side canyons with arches. Since 2017, the park service put a ban on commercial tours and the only way to see the place is with a ranger tour or on your own. Not everyone likes to hike in a group, but doing it on your own still poses challenges despite the rangers’ attempt to make it easier. Some hikers still get lost and most, if not all, miss all the treasures along the way.
We put our Fiery Furnace DIY guide together with the independent hiker in mind after saving many hikers from becoming lost inside the Fiery Furnace. People love the experience, but the anxiety can run high inside the Fiery Furnace when you feel turned around and lost.
Here is an e-mail from a hiker we received who hiked the Fiery Furnace using our guide on March 25, 2019:
“We did the Fiery Furnace on Monday. Just wanted to let you know that your Guide was amazing. We never would have found our way around without it. The pictures were incredible for helping us find our way through. It made exploring so much more comfortable since we knew we would not get lost. The tips to get to the side attractions was also a huge bonus. Thank you so much.”
